Maeve Rooney
Maeve, born in 2004 in Victoria, Australia, began dancing at the age of three at a small rural school and, at fourteen, successfully auditioned for the Queensland Ballet Academy, where she spent six years completing her pre-professional training. During this formative period, she worked with renowned choreographers including Stephanie Lake, Paul Boyd, Natalie Weir, Amelia Waller, Louise Deleur, and Grant Aris, and performed in major works such as Stephanie Lake’s Colossus, Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker, Mario Schröder’s Chaplin (staged by Amelia Waller), and numerous original pieces, some of her own creation. In 2024, Maeve joined the National Ballet of Ireland for their Nutcracker Sweeties season, followed by the company’s Cinderella production in 2025.
