Ellen Lekhtman
Ellen was born in Melbourne and began dancing at the age of four, exploring a wide range of styles. Her childhood was filled with other creative pursuits including drawing, playing piano and rhythmic gymnastics. In 2021, Ellen joined the full-time program at The Australian Ballet School and completed her Graduate Year at the end of 2025. Ballet captivates Ellen for its ability to convey profound emotions. She finds deep inspiration in music – how it moves her, shapes her experiences and transforms into expression through movement. While Ellen is drawn to the traditional repertoire of ballet and its classicism, she is forever inspired by modern works that constantly push the boundaries of classical ballet and dance. Since graduating, Ellen has performed the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy for Adelaide Ballet’s production of ‘The Nutcracker’.
