Rubi was born and raised in Melbourne, Victoria, and began dancing at age eleven at a local scout hall. She trained with Melbourne School of Classical Dance before successfully auditioning for Victorian College of the Arts. After completing her education, she moved to Brisbane to fulfil two years in Queensland Ballet Academy’s Pre-Professional Program. Throughout her training she had opportunities to work with reputable choreographers in many realms of dance such as; Natalie Weir, Tim Harbour, Paul Boyd and Stephanie Lake. In 2024, Rubi danced in Stephanie Lake Company’s season of ‘Colossus’. Since graduating, Rubi has performed for audiences across Australia and New Zealand with Big Live’s ‘Christmas Spectacular’ and is excited to see what the new year brings for her as an artist.
